Fortner Has Another Strong Showing

Seattle, WA - The UNLV women's cross country team took home a ninth place finish at the Sundodger Invitational hosted by the University of Washington.

Leading the way for the Rebels was Angie Fortner who took fourth place with a time of 17:20. Katie McGregor from the University of Michigan won the event with a time of 16:44. McGregor broke the old meet record of 17:01 set in 1993 by Milena Glusac from Oregon. Denise Danielson was the second highest Rebel runner, placing 41st with a time of 18:32.

The Rebels are off next week before they travel to the Southern Utah Invitational on Saturday, October 10.||
