LAS VEGAS - UNLV men's tennis player Nenad Zivkovic won twice Thursday to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2000 ITA Regional Championships, which are taking place at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. Zivkovic, a senior that is seeded 10th, downed John Kowalski of New Mexico, 6-4, 6-3, and then swept Marcus Bernston of Boise State, 7-5, 7-5. He will play Boris Turkic of the University of Denver Friday. The semifinals are Saturday and finals Sunday.

Zivkovic is also alive in the round of 16 in doubles play after he teamed with Gregor Skorin to win a second-round match, 8-3, over Doug Fike and Chris Zielinski of Air Force.
