Match Play Team Championships Will Conclude Fall Season

The No. 6 UNLV golf team will conclude its 2000 fall season at the College Golf Foundation Match Play Team Championships in Esotero, Fla. The tournament features eight of the country's top ranked teams, playing three different head-to-head rounds. The tournament will be played at the West Bay Golf Club (par 72, 6,878 yards), on Saturday, Nov. 11 and Sunday, Nov. 12.

Representing UNLV at the Match Play Team Championships will be senior Scott Lander, sophomore Calvin Kupeyan, and freshmen Brandon Askew, James Oh and Travis Whisman.

In its last outing, UNLV finished 16th at the Rolex/Golf World/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate Invitational. Freshman James Oh battled to an eighth-place overall finish, eight strokes under par to lead the Rebels.
