COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fifteen UNLV student-athletes were honored for the academic achievements by the Mountain West Conference, the league announced Monday.
A total of 64 women's soccer players and 47 cross country athletes were named to the league's fall Academic All-MWC teams for their respective sports.
Nine of the 64 women's soccer players were UNLV student-athletes, including seven sophomores and two freshmen. Six members of the Rebel cross country squad were named to the team.
To earn Academic All-MWC kudos, a student-athlete must not only provide a significant contribution to the team, but maintain a 3.0 or better grade point average.
