LAS VEGAS - The 59th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team lost only one set en route to a 7-0 whitewashing of Utah State in the first round of the men's invitational at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Friday.

It was the Rebels' first victory of the season after opening with three losses.

Winning for UNLV were Vladimir Pavicevic, Danny Erez, Tyler Roberts, Gregor Skorin, Robbie Parlade and Jason Harmon. The Rebels also swept three doubles matches. Zivkovic and Skorin teamed for one win as did Pavicevic and Erez and Parlade and Roberts.

UNLV moves into the winners' bracket and will face Northern Arizona Saturday at 1 p.m. The Lumberjacks defeated Nevada, Reno 7-0 to advance. Also winning Friday were 66th-ranked Texas-Arlington and Cal Poly.
