Runnin' Rebels Ground Air Force, 84-61

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Trevor Diggs scored 19 points to lead five UNLV players in double figures as the Rebels beat Air Force 84-61 on Saturday night.

Kaspars Kambala and Danny Brotherson scored 13 points each for the Rebels (18-7, 8-4 Mountain West). Mark Dickel added 12 points and 11 assists and Chris Richardson scored 11. Dickel entered the contest ranked second in the nation in assists per game (8.8). Kambala and Brotherson had 11 rebounds apiece.

Jarvis Croff led Air Force (8-18, 4-8) with 17 points, while Thomas Bellairs added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Air Force never led in the game.

The Rebels led 35-22 at halftime and extended the margin to 47-24 with a 12-2 run in the first 4:39 of the second period.

UNLV later went on a 9-0 run, including 5 points from freshman Dalron Johnson, to build its biggest lead of the game at 60-33 with 11:23 remaining. Johnson finished with 9 points.
