LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball program has received a signed commitment from Jackson Kiss to join the Runnin' Rebels for the 2026-27 season, head coach Josh Pastner announced Thursday.

Kiss, a 6-foot-8-inch, 230-pound forward originally from Auckland, New Zealand, has played at Utah Prep Academy since coming to the United States.

A four-star recruit, he averaged 9.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in 14 games during the Nike EYBL Scholastic League during the 2025-26 season. Last summer, he played with Vegas Elite.

"Jackson is a tough, physical forward who brings a competitive edge every time he steps on the floor," Pastner said. "His versatility allows him to play multiple positions and impact the game on both sides of the ball. He has a high motor and the ability to affect winning in a variety of ways. He's a strong ball-handler and playmaker who can create for himself and for others, and he's the kind of competitor who makes everyone around him better. We're excited to welcome him to our program."

Kiss also played in the FIBA U17 World Cup, helping New Zealand to a fourth-place finish. He averaged 7.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists during the event.

At the 2025 Peach Jam, he averaged 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.

Kiss joins Terrance Ford Jr., Jeremy Foumena, Tyler Harris, Cam Miles, MJ Thomas, and Dontrez Williams as incoming players to the Runnin' Rebel program for the 2026-27 season.

COMMITTED RETURNING REBELS: Tyrin Jones and Issac Williamson have both committed to return to the program in 2026-27 after playing as freshmen in 2025-26. Jones was selected to the Mountain West's All-Defensive Team and earned honorable mention All-MW honors. He averaged 11.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, while leading the league in blocks with 2.2 per contest. Williamson scored 8.6 points per game.

PASTNER ENTERING SECOND SEASON: The 2026-27 campaign will be the second for Josh Pastner as head coach of the Runnin' Rebels. He led the program to the postseason in his first year at the helm, advancing to the second round of the NIT.
