AUBURN, Ala. - UNLV seniors Jeremy Anderson and Michael Kirk were named to the Golf Coaches Association of America All-District 8 team, the GCAA announced at its annual reception Monday at the Auburn University Hotel and Convention Center.
The All-District teams highlight 12 members from each of the nation's nine districts and serve as a preliminary selection process for the PING All-America team, which will be announced following the NCAA Championships. Both Anderson and Kirk were All-District 8 and All-America selections last year, and it marks the third time in his career that Anderson has won the honor.
"It really says a lot about our program for them to win this honor two years in a row," UNLV golf head coach Dwaine Knight said. "We'll add them to the honor roll and hope we can continue to add players to it in the future."
Anderson also received Topflite/Etonic All-American Scholar kudos. He graduated from UNLV on May 14 with a bachelor's degree in business management and a 3.56 GPA.
"Jeremy has worked exceptionally hard, and we're very proud to have him as an Academic All-American for the second straight year," Knight said.
