Sept. 17, 2000POCATELLO, ID -The UNLV women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 loss at to Idaho State on Sunday, dropping their record to 5-3 on the season.
The Rebels came out of the gates early, using their impressive team speed to get behind the Bengal defenders. That led to an early goal by junior Jessica Chavez (3) at the 11:52 mark, with the assist going to junior Anita Pedford.
Not more than five minutes later, the Bengals scored the equalizing goal. Idaho State then broke the 1-1 tie with about nine minutes left in the half to take a 2-1 lead.
Idaho State (7-1-1) came out of halftime and scored two more unanswered goals to take the 4-1 victory.
Senior keeper Shannon Wilson tallied a season high twelve saves for the Rebels and freshman Tania Lee fired a team-high five shots.
The Rebels return to action at home Sept. 23 at 7:00 p.m. against the Lady Dons of San Francisco.
