LAS VEGAS - Three UNLV women's soccer players were named to the 2001 All-Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Team for the most postseason league selections in school history.
For the second time in her storied four-year career, senior midfielder Anita Pedford (Ontario, Calif.) received All-MWC First Team honors and will go down in school history as UNLV's all-time leading scorer with 24 goals and 16 points for 64 career points to-date. Pedford was named to the All-MWC Second Team in 2000 and named the Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in 1998.
Junior midfielder Cristyn Enea (San Ramon, Calif.) and sophomore defender Tania Lee (Thornton, Colo.) received All-MWC Second Team honors, the first of their careers at UNLV. Enea and Lee have been major contributors offensively and defensively to leading the Rebels to their second consecutive winning season under UNLV coach Dan Abdalla.
Brigham Young's Aleisha Cramer was named MWC Player of the Year, while Air Force's Jennifer Rowland received Freshman of the Year honors and New Mexico coach Kit Vela Coach of the Year.
