LAS VEGAS (AP) - John Sivesind scored 18 points to lead Colorado State past UNLV 68-62 in a Mountain West Conference game on Thursday night.
David Fisher finished with 16 points and Garrett Patik contributed 15 for Colorado State, which snapped a six-game conference road losing streak that dated back to last season.
After falling behind 2-0 to start the game, the Rams (15-11, 6-7) went on an 18-2 run and never trailed again. However, UNLV (15-13, 6-7) chipped away at an 18-point second-half deficit with a 28-11 run.
The Rebels got within 64-62 when Trevor Diggs, who finished with 10 points, hit a three-pointer with 51 seconds remaining. But Sivesind hit a layup on Colorado State's next possession, and Grady followed with two free throws to ice the game for the Rams.
Kaspars Kambala led the Rebels with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Dalron Johnson had 14 points and Lafonte Johnson added 12.
