Storyline: The No. 22 UNLV men's golf team gets no rest as it plays its second tournament in eight days at the ASU Thunderbird/Savane Invitational. The 54-hole event, hosted by Arizona State University, will begin on Friday, April 13 at the Karsten Golf Course (7,027 yards, par 72) in Tempe, Ariz. Play on Friday consists of 36 holes, and the final 18 will be played on Saturday, April 14. There will be a practice round on Thursday, April 12.

Field: The 21-team field consists of Arizona, Arizona State, Brigham Young, California, Cal State Northridge, Fresno State, Houston, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine, Stanford, Texas, UCLA, UNLV, USC, UTEP, Virginia and Washington.

Last Season: The Rebels rallied with a seven-under par team round on the final day of the ASU Invitational to finish ninth in the 17-team field. Jeremy Anderson and Michael Kirk both tied for fourth place overall. The Rebels' nine-over par second round was their last round of the season over par.

Last Time Out: In its last outing, UNLV finished seventh at the U.S. Collegiate Championships in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Senior Scott Lander (71-71-69--211) matched his best career finish, tying for fourth place at five-under par. The hottest golfer in the league has fired four straight sub-par rounds, continues to pace the Mountain West Conference in stroke average and has finished in the top 10 in three of his last four events.

Lineup: Scott Lander and Calvin Kupeyan make their return to the ASU Invitational. They will be joined by junior college transfer Clark Corbett and freshmen Travis Whisman and Brandon Askew.

Up Next: This will be the Rebels' final competition before the Mountain West Conference Championships, set for April 30-May 2 at the Sun River Golf Course in Sun River, Ore.
