LAS VEGAS - The UNLV women's indoor track and field team is set to head north to face intrastate rival Nevada, Reno at the Wolf Pack Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The Rebels, led by senior sprinter and co-captain Michele Davis (Lansing, Mich.), posted a fourth-place finish last weekend at the Minnesota Gold Country Classic in Minneapolis, Minn. Davis has already set an NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 200 meters, as well as a NCAA automatic qualifying time in the 400 meters.
Freshman Brigitte Ladouceur (Cayenne, French Guiana) leads the Mountain West Conference in the 60-meter high hurdles event with a time of 8.47 seconds. UNLV also holds a conference best time in the 4x400 meter relay with a 3:47.94.
The Wolf Pack Invitational will mark the first time this season that UNLV will face-off against Mountain West Conference foes, as both the Lobos of New Mexico and the Aztecs of San Diego State are scheduled to compete.
The all day event will be held at the Reno Livestock Events Center beginning at 9 a.m. Meet results will be posted at www.nevadawolfpack.com.
