Volleyball Swept By Rams

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The UNLV volleyball team fell to 4-13 on the season with a 3-0 (30-20, 30-25, 30-19) loss to Colorado State on Saturday night in the Moby Arena. The Rams improve to 11-6 with the win, 3-0 in Mountain West Conference play. UNLV falls to 0-4 in league play.

The Rebels were out-hit .367 (57-13-120) to .176 (39-18-119) and out-blocked 14-4 in the three-game match.

Patricia Assuncao led the Rebels with 10 kills. She also tallied six digs and one block assist in the match. Shannon Chase finished with seven kills and eight digs.

Blair Wilkes knocked down eight kills with a .350 (8-1-20) attack percentage. Nicki King finished with 27 assists, six digs and one kill.

Colorado State was led by Michelle Knox's 13 kills. She finished the match with a .600 attack percentage, committing only one error in 20 attacks.

UNLV concludes a three-match road trip on Oct. 11 at San Diego State and return home on Oct. 18 for a 7 p.m. match with New Mexico.
