LAS VEGAS - A five-run third inning powered Oregon to a 6-4 victory over the UNLV softball team at Eller Media Stadium on Friday.

The Ducks (12-7) got to Rebel starter Jackie Kerrigan for five hits in their big inning, doing most of the damage on a bases-loaded double and a two-RBI single by Andrea Vidlund and Kristi Hall, respectively.

The Rebels (10-14) finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Down 6-0, Melissa Inouye doubled to center to knock in the first UNLV run.

UNLV tacked on three more in the fifth with hits from Lisa Moses, Geney Orris and Morgan Bostwick. However, the Rebels' go-ahead chances were lost with three runners stranded on base.

Kerrigan dropped her sixth decision of the season while the Ducks' Anissa Meashintubby improved to 5-2 and Connie McMurren picked up her third save.
