COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - UNLV freshman infielder Morgan Bostwick has been named the Mountain West Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Bostwick becomes the second Rebel to earn the award in as many weeks as teammate Geney Orris was recognized on April 23. She also becomes the fifth weekly winner for the softball team this season, along with Orris twice and fellow freshmen Jackie Kerrigan and Pauline Glenn.

In four games last week, Bostwick batted 6-for-12 (.500) from the plate, with two home runs, a double, four RBI and four runs scored, leading UNLV to its first two conference doubleheader sweeps as members of the MWC.

The Salem, Ore., product, is batting .290 with four home runs and 19 RBI on the season and has played in all 56 games at either first base, second base or shortstop.
