ST. LOUIS, Mo. - UNLV women's soccer senior forward Cosette (Joffs) Packer hit the game-winning goal in a 1-0 shutout of Drury College Sunday afternoon in the final game of the Rebels' weekend road swing through the Midwest.

Packer, a local product out of Green Valley High School in Henderson, knocked in her ninth career goal late in the first half with a shot inside the penalty area off a pass from junior defender Tania Lee (Thornton, Colo.). Both teams could not score a goal thereafter with missed opportunities on multiple corner kicks and shot attempts.

Sophomore Desiree Kelly (Virginia Beach, Va.) and freshman Jenna Huff (Huntington Beach, Calif.) shared time in goal with Huff making six saves in the second half. The Rebels tied 2001 NCAA Tournament participant Kansas, 2-2, on Friday, Aug. 30.

UNLV (1-0-1) returns home to host a four-team tournament on Sept. 6 and 8 at Peter Johann Memorial Field. Southern Utah, Fresno State and intrastate rival Nevada, Reno, round out the field. The Rebels will take on UNR on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m., while Southern Utah and Fresno State tip-off prior to the nightcap at 4:30 p.m.
