LAS VEGAS - Midfielder Erin Egertson made her Senior Night a memorable one as she scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute to give UNLV a 1-0 victory over San Diego State in Mountain West Conference women's soccer action on Saturday night from Peter Johann Field. With the win, UNLV ends the regular season with an 8-9-2 overall record, and with their second straight win in conference play move to 2-4 in the MWC. The Aztecs fell to 7-9-2, 2-3-1 in conference play.

The Rebels also moved past New Mexico into fifth place in the MWC, and as the fifth seed in next week's conference tournament, will play fourth-seeded San Diego State in a rematch on Wednesday, Nov. 5 in Salt Lake City, Utah, with the game time to be announced on Sunday by the conference.

One of four seniors playing in their final home game, Egertson took a pass from junior midfielder Annii Magliulo in the middle of the box, and blasted a shot to the top left corner of the goal for a 1-0 UNLV lead at 82:24. The Aztecs would continue to challenge the rest of the game, but couldn't get past UNLV goalie Jenna Huff, who finished with five saves in goal. It was the sixth shutout of the season for Huff, and the eighth for the team, which set a new school record. Stephanie Pearson posted two saves and allowed one goal for San Diego State.
