SAN DIEGO - The UNLV men's tennis team lost to Air Force for only the second time in history, 5-2, in a neutral-site match at the San Diego State Tennis Courts Saturday.
The Rebels fell to 2-9 overall and 0-2 in Mountain West Conference play.
The Falcons swept three doubles matches to earn a 1-0 team lead.
In singles play, the Rebels got wins from Romain Massaro at No. 2, 6-1, 6-2, over Eric Pittman, and Aviram Salomon at No. 3, who downed Tyler McClung 6-2, 6-1.
UNLV will continue in league play by facing host San Diego State Sunday.
