UNLV Tops Arizona 2-1

MISSOULA, Mont. - UNLV scored twice in the first half on the way to a 2-1 victory over Arizona in women's collegiate soccer action on Saturday afternoon from Missoula, Mont., on the second day of the Montana Diadora Cup. The Rebels improved to 6-3-1 on the season, while Arizona's four-game unbeaten streak was snapped, sending the Wildcats to 4-4-1.

Senior forward Rachael Buscovich began the scoring for the Rebels, with a goal at the 12:51 mark on an assist from junior defender Erin Egertson. Arizona tied the score at 24:22 on a shot from Vanesha Bailey. The Rebels countered with a score from Tania Lee, her first of the season and what would be the eventual game-winner. Freshman defender Heather Killoch assisted on the Lee goal, which came at the 39:23 mark.

Once again, UNLV won a game in which they were outshot, as the Wildcats finished with 14 to the Rebels' seven. Jenna Huff posted three saves in 90 minutes of action for UNLV.

UNLV remains in Missoula to take on Montana on Sunday at 1 p.m..
