MISSOULA, Mont. - UNLV's three-game unbeaten streak was snapped as Montana posted a 2-0 victory over the Rebels in women's collegiate soccer action on Sunday afternoon from Missoula, Mont., on the third day of the Montana Diadora Cup. The Rebels fell to 6-4-1 on the season, while Montana improved to 3-5-1.
The Grizzles wasted no time in scoring their first goal, as Jamie Rizzuto found the back of the net just 2:21 into the game. Lindsay Winans added an insurance score at 71:44 for a 2-0 lead.
Jenna Huff posted six saves in goal for the Rebels, who were outshot 18-8 for the game.
UNLV returns to action on Friday, Oct. 3, as the Rebels host No. 3 UCLA at 7:30 p.m. at Peter Johann Field. The game is also part of UNLV's "Break the Attendance Record Night".
