SAN DIEGO - The UNLV women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss at San Diego on Friday in its first road match of the season.
It was also UNLV's first loss of the year.
USD's Michelle Rowe scored on a breakaway to the right side on a Katie Allen assist for the only goal of the night.
Jenna Huff made eight saves in goal for UNLV, but the one that made it past decided the match.
San Diego (2-0-1) had 14 shots for the match, 10 on goal, while UNLV (3-1) managed only four shots, two on goal.
UNLV will take the field again on Sunday against Tennessee at 2 p.m. at Peter Johann Field. The game will be part of a collegiate soccer tripleheader with a men's game pitting Mount St. Mary's vs. Wisconsin at 10 am and the UNLV men's soccer team meeting Davidson at 12 p.m.
