LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision on Sunday to Davidson at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

Trailing 1-0, UNLV's Victor Arbelaez' one-timer off of Rod Dyachenko's assist tied the match in the 49th minute. It was Arbelaez' second goal of the season.

The match remained a 1-1 tie until Davidson's Jeff Davis scored from one yard inside the box on the left side off a Mac Wilkie assist. Matt Allen scored the Wildcats' third goal less than seven minutes later on a breakaway along the right side.

Cass Baltz opened the scoring for Davidson with an unassisted 18-yard chip over the goalkeeper in the 26th minute.

Davidson (3-1) outshot the Rebels 16-11 for the match and had six shots on goal to UNLV's four.

UNLV (0-4) will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 12, as it travels to Omaha, Neb., to play Creighton.
