Rebels Tame Bengals 1-0

LAS VEGAS - UNLV freshman midfielder Ashly O'Harrow' scored her first career goal early in the first half and the Rebels defense held up the rest of the game to give them a 1-0 shutout victory over Idaho State in women's collegiate soccer action on Thursday night from Peter Johann Field. The win was the fifth straight at home for UNLV, moving them to 6-2-2 on the season, while ISU fell to 5-3-1.

O'Harrow drove down the right side of the field, and after receiving a pass from Jessica Brown, slotted a shot past Bengal goalie Shannon Boyle to the left side of the net for the Rebel score at 16:47. It was an even match the rest of the way, as both teams finished with seven shots on goal, and both goalies posted four saves in the match. Jenna Huff recorded the shutout for UNLV, her fifth shutout of the season and 17th in her career.

The Rebels will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 3, as they host the Sun Devils of Arizona State at Noon at Peter Johann Field.
