Final Stats

Las Vegas - Playing in her final game at Peter Johann Memorial Field, senior forward Annii Magliulo made it a memorable one as the Rebels blanked Air Force 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Magliulo scored the Rebels' second goal of the match to become UNLV's all-time leader in points with 68 in her fine UNLV career. Heading into Sunday's match Magliulo was tied with Anita Pedford with 66 points when Magliulo took a pass from teammate Jessica Destito out in front of the net and drilled the ball past Falcon goalkeeper Jennifer Drew at the 81:57 mark of the game. The goal gave Magliulo 25 for her career, which moves her into a first-place tie with Pedford on UNLV's career list.

The Rebels won their ninth straight home game and improved to 11-3-2 overall, 4-1-0 in the Mountain West Conference as 465 fans watched a dominating performance by the Rebels. Air Forced dropped to 3-12-4, 0-5-1 in the MWC.

Six seniors played their final match as Magliulo, Desiree Kelly, Blynnda Bascones, Codi Schumaker, Jenny Ruiz and Michelle Cowles were all honored before the game. All six started as Kelly, who normally plays in goal, was in the starting lineup as a midfielder.

After a scoreless first half UNLV got on the board first as Katie Carney fired a shot from the right-side that beat Drew high. It was Carney's third goal of the season and it came off an assist from Angie Inzana. UNLV had controlled the ball throughout most of the match and finally cashed in its ball control with Carney's goal at the 57:04 mark of the game.

Less than six minutes after Magliulo's goal pushed the lead to 2-0 Carney again found the back of the net, this time scoring after Air Forced turned the ball over deep in its own end. Carney's second goal of the game came at the 87:06 mark to seal the Rebel win.

Junior goalkeeper Jenna Huff was never tested in the game as the Rebel netminder didn't have to make a save and faced only one shot the entire match in recording the shutout. On the other side of the field the Rebels fired 18 shots on goal, including 13 in the second half when they scored their three goals.

Drew was busy throughout the afternoon and made four saves in net for the Falcons.

UNLV will wrap up its regular season on the road at San Diego State on Oct. 30 at 1:00 p.m. (PST).
