UNLV Defeated By Wyoming In Triple Overtime, 53-45

LAS VEGAS (AP) - J.J. Raterinks 25-yard pass to Jovon Bouknight in the third overtime gave Wyoming a 53-45 victory over UNLV Saturday night.

Raterink was 22-of-36 for 227 yards and threw four touchdown passes as UNLV failed to score after the Cowboys scored eight points in the final overtime drive.

Bouknight had five receptions for 121 yards and one touchdown.

Ivan Harrisons 1-yard run for Wyoming (6-3, 3-2 Mountain West Conference) with 2:11 left in regulation tied the game at 31-31 after UNLV rallied for 17 unanswered points to take the lead.

Harrison, who had a 20-yard touchdown run in the first overtime, rushed for 72 yards on 24 carries.

Dominique Dorsey's 12-yard touchdown run capped the fourth-quarter comeback and gave the Rebels a 31-24 lead with 4:18 left in the game.

Dorsey rushed for 181 yards on 34 carries for UNLV (2-7, 1-4).

This was the final home game for UNLV coach John Robinson, who is retiring after six seasons with the Rebels.

Also for the Rebels, Shane Steichen was 20-of-34 for 223 yards passing with four touchdowns. Steichen filled in for starter Kurt Nantkes, who was not with the team because of family issues.

Wide receiver Earvin Johnson caught eight passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns for UNLV.

UNLV was penalized 22 times for 167 yards, while the Cowboys had just four penalties for 50 yards.

The Rebels rushed for 210 yards to the Cowboys' 83.
