NEW ORLEANS - Looking for its first victory of the dual-match season, the UNLV men's tennis team got one point closer but still lost to 75th-ranked New Orleans 4-3 Sunday at City Park.

Playing in cold and windy conditions, the Rebels fell to 0-2 while the Privateers improved to 2-1.

In doubles play, UNO won both completed matches to capture the crucial team point.

In singles, the teams were even with both schools earning three points apiece.

The Rebels' top player, Henner Nehles, won his second super-tiebreaker in as many days at the top spot, 6-4, 6-7, 1-0 (10-8) over Luka Bernard. Also winning for UNLV were Romain Massaro at No. 3 and Joel Kielbowicz on Court Five.

The Rebels now return home in preparation of hosting their annual eight-team invitational Friday through Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
