Broncos Stampede Rebels

BOISE, Idaho - The UNLV men's tennis team's three-game winning streak came to an end at the Boise State Invitational as they fell to the host Boise State 6-1 on Friday.

The Rebels drop to 8-5 overall, losing their third game on the road this year.

The Broncos started the day by taking all three hard-fought doubles matches away from the Rebels.

In singles play for the Rebels, #77 ranked Henner Nehles fell in straight sets on court No.1 6-3, 6-4. Teammate Romain Massaro played in the No. 3 slot, dropping both of his sets 6-3, 6-1, while David DiMartino came up short losing at the No. 5 court 7-6, 6-4.

Avi Salomon came up with the only point for the Rebels, winning on No. 2 7-4, 7-6. Joel Kielbowicz played at the No. 4 slot, opening up the first set winning 6-1 but dropping the final two sets 6-1, 6-2. Marko Blajogevic played at the No. 6 spot, and lost in three set 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.

The Rebels will face Cornell at 4:00 p.m. on the final day of the tournament on Saturday.
