NORMAN, Okla. - UNLV junior golfer Ryan Moore was one of 10 semifinalists chosen for the prestigious Hogan Award, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Wednesday.
Moore, of Puyallup, Wash., was a finalist for the award last year, which is presented annually to the top player in collegiate golf.
Ranked second nationally, Moore has been the top player all year long for the No. 14 Rebels. He leads the team and the Mountain West Conference with a 69.96 scoring average. He will again represent the United States at the Palmer Cup this year.
The field will be whittled to five finalists on April 27. The winner will then be selected from the finalists and announced on May 6. The award presentation is slated for Monday, May 17, at Colonial Country Club just prior to the Bank of America Colonial.
