Moore Stays Hot In Tempe

TEMPE, Ariz. - Ryan Moore carded rounds of 67 and 68 on Friday and sits just four strokes off the lead heading into the final round of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational.

Moore trails Arizona State's Alejandro Canizares, who circled the par-72, 7,037-yard Karsten Golf Course with scores of 65 and 66. At 13-under, Canizares leads California's Peter Tomasulo and ASU's Kendall Critchfield by two strokes.

The hosts also hold the team lead through two rounds. At 28-under par, they lead New Mexico by 10 shots. UNLV, despite scoring under par in both rounds, sits in 10th place, 20 shots behind ASU.

Alongside Moore, Travis Whisman shot rounds of 68 and 72, and is tied for 19th overall at four-under. UNLV also got scoring efforts from Andres Gonzales and Ryan Keeney. Gonzales shot 74 and 70 and sits in 40th place at even par, while Keeney fired rounds of 73 and 76 and sits tied for 68th place. JC Deacon shot back-to-back 77s.

Final round play at the Thunderbird Invitational is slated to begin at 7:00 a.m. MST.
