IRVINE, Calif. - Rod Dyachenko scored the lone goal of the game to lift UNLV over Navy 1-0 in the UC Irvine Men's Soccer College Classic presented by Crowne Plaza Irvine at Anteater Stadium on Monday afternoon. With the win, the Rebels even their record at 1-1, and finish second in the tournament standings behind champion San Diego. Navy fell to 1-1-1 with the loss. Dyachenko scored the game-winner on a breakaway after receiving a pass from Taylor McCool, with Chris Wessel also assisting on the score. UNLV outshot Navy 16-6 for the game, while goalie Peter Clitheroe finished with two saves for the shutout. Navy goalie Frank DiFilippo posted five saves and one goal allowed. UNLV returns to action this weekend as the Rebels host the UNLV FILA Invitational. Creighton and UCLA meet in the first game on Friday at 4:30 pm, while UNLV and Washington face off at 7 pm. All games are at Peter Johann Field.
