LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's golf team is ranked fourth in the nation in the latest edition of the Golf Coaches Association of America/Bridgestone Coaches Poll, released by the GCAA on Monday.
Georgia received all 28 first-place votes to become the first unanimous No. 1 team in men's golf since the fall of 2002.
Georgia Tech jumped four spots to second and is followed by Oklahoma State, who dropped one spot to third. UNLV and Duke stayed fourth and fifth, respectively.
The CGAA/Bridgestone Coaches Poll is voted on by a panel of head coaches at Division I institutions. All are members of the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The Rebels opened the season with a team title and an individual victory at the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., Sept. 16-17, then finished fourth at the PING/Golfweek Preview in Sunriver, Ore., in their last appearance Sept. 26-28.
UNLV's next action will be October 23-25 at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Fla.
