LAS VEGAS - The fourth-ranked UNLV men's golf team will be playing in the second annual Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational, October 23-25, at Isleworth Country Club (par 72, 7,493 yards) in Windermere, Fla.
The 54-hole tournament with 18 holes scheduled for each day is being hosted by UCF and features 18 of the nation's top teams. The field includes 13 of the top 20 teams from the latest Golf Coaches Association of America poll (Oct. 7), including defending Isleworth and NCAA champion Georgia. The Bulldogs are the consensus number one ranked team in the county and will be joined by the rest of the top five teams from that poll - Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, UNLV and Duke.
The other teams participating are Arizona State, Augusta State, Clemson, Kentucky, New Mexico, South Carolina, Stanford, Toledo, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest. Of the 18 teams that comprise the field, 17 are receiving votes in the top 25 poll.
UNLV, which did not participate in last year's Isleworth, has competed in two tournaments so far this season, capturing the team title at the Tucker Invitational and finishing fourth at The Preview.
