Kielbowicz Upset In Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. - UNLV senior Joel Kielbowicz was upset during the first round of qualifying at the Polo Ralph Lauren Men's All-American Tennis Championships on Monday.

Kielbowicz, ranked 85th nationally, fell to No. 96 Colin Purcell of the University of Georgia, 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-4, and will now try his luck in the consolation draw, which starts Tuesday at the Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.

Kielbowicz was the only Rebel who qualified for what is college tennis' first major tournament of the season.
