Rebels Close Out Season With Two Home Games

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's soccer team will close out its 2005 season with a pair of home games at Peter Johann Memorial Field. The Rebels will take on Air Force on Friday at 7 pm, and then will play Denver on Sunday at Noon, on what will also be Senior Day for UNLV. Both games will be at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

The Rebels broke a 12-game losing streak in their last outing, a 2-2 overtime tie at San Jose State. UNLV (2-14-1, 0-7-1) has been led this year by the play of senior forward Rod Dyachenko, who has a team-high eight goals, while freshman Lamar Neagle has nine points off four goals and one assist.

Air Force is led by Scott Muir with 25 points on the year, and is 7-8-2, 5-2-1 on the season. is part of a doubleheader with the women's soccer team, as UNLV will face San Diego State at 2:30 pm. Thomas Flynn has a team-high eight goals for the Pioneers of Denver, who own a 6-9-1 mark this year, 2-6 in league action.
