LAS VEGAS - UNLV's offensive production was on display Thursday night as the Rebels (6-4) run-ruled Iowa State (0-1) en route to a 10-1 win. The initial game of the UNLV Invitational was called after the Rebels added two more runs to their 8-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak that carried over from last weekend's action at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic.

With the bases loaded and no outs, Danielle Martinez picked up her first career RBI with a walk. Morgan Bostwick followed with an RBI-single to left field. With one out, Marissa Nichols roped a triple to right that cleared the bases and plated three more runners. The sixth and final run of the inning scored on Brittany Freight's single through the right side.

With a 6-0 lead Jacque Kerrigan (6-3) was able to pitch her game. Kerrigan went the full five-innings for her third complete game of the season. She allowed three Cyclone hits and one run to score.

In the fifth and final inning of the night, the Rebels put four runs on the board to end the game. With one out and a runner on first base, Brittany Meade singled towards second. Nichols closed out the scoring with her second triple of the night, this time to left field. Nichols was credited with both runs that scored.
