RENO, Nev. - UNLV's scheduled doubleheader in Reno, Nev., against Nevada, Reno was called after four innings were played in game one at Idlewild Park. Inclement weather was present all morning and varied between light to heavy rains. With a chance of snow from the west, the remainder of game one was called with a 4-4 score.
UNR jumped out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to the help of two home runs in the bottom of the first. UNLV responded with a three-run second inning. Each team put a run up in the fourth for the final tally of four apiece.
Next up for UNLV are games at the Stanford Invitational next week in Palo Alto, Calif.
