LAS VEGAS - After winning its second team title of the season at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., on Saturday, the UNLV men's golf team climbed up the NCAA Division I Team Rankings powered by Golfstat and are now the top-ranked team in the country.
UNLV is followed by Oklahoma State, Georgia, Georgia Tech and New Mexico. Teams six through 10 are Augusta State, Florida, Auburn, Duke and TCU.
Individually, UNLV senior Ryan Moore continues to be the nation's top-ranked player. Other Rebels who are ranked are senior Travis Whisman at No. 30, junior Andres Gonzales at No. 57, junior Ryan Keeney at No. 83, sophomore Sam Hunt at No. 128, freshman Matt Kinsinger at No. 173 and freshman Jarred Texter at No. 186.
The Golfstat rankings is the service that the NCAA uses for a variety of uses including its postseason pairings.
UNLV's next action will be April 28-30 at the Mountain West Conference Championships in Sunriver, Ore.
