Kristen Dedmon singled home Benyi and moved Zaplatosch to third. Alissa Eno entered the game as a pinch runner for Dedmon and took second on a walk issued to Krista Colburn. After her third walk of the inning, Crisp was pulled for Jacque Kerrigan. The first batter Kerrigan faced dropped a single to left to bring home Zaplatosch and Eno.

In the fifth, Tara Henry reached on a bunt single. Following two outs and an advancement to second base by Henry, Legaspi singled home Henry for the fourth run of the game.
