The UNLV women's soccer team (3-2-3) is back on the road again this weekend after hosting the UNLV adidas Classic on Sept. 16-18, and are looking to get back into the win column after three ties and one loss in their last four games.
It won't be easy in the first game however, as they will face their first ranked opponent of the year when they take on the 11th-ranked Pepperdine Waves on Friday at 3 pm in Malibu, Calif. The Waves are 6-0-1 on the year, and have wins over three top-30 teams. Friday's game is also a rematch of the first-ever game in UNLV soccer history, as the Rebels' lost their inaugural game
On Sunday, UNLV takes on a team that has struggled this season as the Rebels will take on UC Irvine at 1 pm in Irvine, Calif. The Anteaters defeated San Jose State in their season opener but have not won since, losing six games as well as a scoreless overtime tie against Columbia. In fact, UC Irvine has scored just one goal in their last five contests.
