LAS VEGAS - UNLV placed 14 women's soccer players on the 2005 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team, which tied for most in the conference, the league announced on Wednesday.
The 14 players is tied for the second most UNLV has had in one year on the All-Academic team, was UNLV had 16 players honored in the 2002 season.
To be eligible for selection student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team.
