SALT LAKE CITY - The 58th-ranked UNLV men's tennis team lost 6-1 to conference newcomer TCU on Saturday in a neutral-site match moved indoors because of rain at the Snowbird Canyon Club.
The Rebels fell to 13-7 overall and 2-3 in the Mountain West while the 33rd-ranked Horned Frogs improved to 14-8 and 5-0 in the league.
TCU began the morning by winning on all three courts to take the doubles point.
UNLV's only victory came in singles play where top player Joel Kielbowicz swept 93rd-ranked Rafael Abreu 6-4, 6-2. The senior from Las Vegas improved his MWC record to 4-1 in what was his third victory over a ranked opponent in just over a month.
The Rebels will close out their regular-season schedule on Easter Sunday by facing New Mexico beginning at 8 a.m. PST.
