The Last Time Out: The Rebels concluded their regular season and Mountain West Conference season with doubleheaders against Utah and BYU this past weekend. UNLV went 2-2 with a sweep of the Utes, but dropped a pair to the Cougars.

Against the Utes, the Rebels won game one 10-8 and game two 6-5 (8). Both games turned out to be offensive affairs, as both teams scattered double-digit hit counts in each game. The Rebels pounded out a total of 25 hits, to the Utes 22.

In game one, the Rebels matched or scored double the amount of runs that Utah put up each inning. Christie Robinson went 5.0 innings for the win, while giving up six runs (three earned) on nine hits. Maggie Livreri went 3-for-4 at the plate, while knocking home five RBI.

In game two, Utah held a 2-1 advantage heading into the fourth, but UNLV scored four to take a 5-2 lead. Utah chipped away with two runs in the fifth and the tying run in the seventh. Caitlyn Paus came up with one out in the bottom of the eighth and nailed the game-winning home run to left to give UNLV a 6-5 win.

Against BYU, the Cougar offense was unstoppable. BYU broke open a scoreless game one with six runs in the third, two in the fourth and two in the fifth before winning the run-ruled affair 10-0. In game two, the Rebels held a 4-0 lead through three, but BYU put runs up in all but the fifth inning to take the 12-6 match. Maggie Livreri went 3-for-3 in game two with three RBI and three runs, but it wasn't enough to match the Cougar hitting.
