2008 Louisville Slugger Tournament in PDF Format

The UNLV softball team is scheduled to host five home tournaments in 2008 at Eller Media Stadium. The Rebels will open up the season with the Alexis Resort Kick-Off Classic on Feb. 8-10. The team will stay home the following weekend with one of the biggest tournaments of the season, the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic (Feb. 14-17). After hitting the road for Feb. 21-24, the team will play at home over three straight weekends. The Eller Media Stadium Classic (Feb. 29-March 2) leads off the trio and is followed by the UNLV Invitational (March 7-9) and the UNLV Round Robin (March 15-16).
The Alexis Resort Kick-Off Classic will feature 13 games played between six teams. UNLV will welcome Washington, Arizona State, Loyola-Chicago, Texas Tech and the Canadian National Team to Las Vegas.
The "Louisville" takes place over three sites including: UNLV's EMS, Stephanie Lynn Craig Park (Henderson, Nev.) and the Russell Road Complex (Henderson, Nev.). There will be 21 teams in attendance, including UNLV, and play 56 total contests. BYU, UCLA, UC Davis, Oregon, Portland State, Bradley, UTEP, Illinois, Cal Poly, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Kansas, Cal State Northridge, Cal State Bakersfield, Seton Hall, South Carolina, Missouri, Cal State Bakersfield, Northwestern State, San Jose State and the Canadian National Team will attend.
The Eller Media Stadium Classic will be a three-day event that will see two full days of action at EMS. Friday and Saturday's play will begin bright and early at 9:00 am and will feature six contests each day. Sunday will also begin at 9:00 am, but only has four games slated. Sixteen games will be played between UNLV, Hawaii, Cal, Western Kentucky, Pittsburgh and Long Beach State.
The UNLV Invitational will follow the same schedule as the EMS Classic on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday will only have three games. Fifteen games will be played between UNLV, New Mexico State, Ohio State, Southern Utah, Oregon and Portland State.
The final tournament of them all will be the UNLV Round Robin. There will only be six games scheduled between three squads (UNLV, Nebraska, Utah Valley State). On March 17, Nebraska will stay in town and face Southern Utah in a doubleheader.
UNLV's full schedule will be released soon, as there are still some additions being made.
Please note, that all times and games are subject to change.
