Prospect Camp To Be Held In February

Nov. 13, 2007

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV Rebels men's soccer team will host their annual prospect camp on the campus of UNLV this February 9-10 to find the best talent in the country to join their program. Right now, the camp has 38 participants registered to train and compete over the 2 days of field sessions. The athletes range in age from 16 to 20 and are traveling from all across the U.S. to train with the coaching staff. Some of the states represented are: Maryland, Arizona, Colorado, Ohio, Washington, Oregon, Iowa, Utah, local talent, and more.

UNLV has expanded the prospect camp to include other colleges prospecting athletes! UC Riverside will be represented by head coach Junior Gonzalez. Junior will train the athletes along side the UNLV coaching staff and identify players that would potentially fit into the Highlanders program. In addition, the 2007 Junior College National Champions Yavapai College will be represented by head soccer coach Mike Pantalione and associate soccer coach Hugh Bell. The Roughrider coaching staff will also look to identify soccer players that will fit into their program.

The UNLV coaching staff is excited to have these top programs join the prospect camp and offer more opportunity to the athletes traveling from all over the country to compete. The athletes will have time in between sessions to get to know all the coaches and learn more about their programs as they search for the right college to continue their dreams and achieve their goals.

Please sign up now as the camp allows for only 60 field players and 6 goalkeepers to be accepted. More than half the camp is already full, so get your application in now! For more information on the camp, click here.

On behalf of all the coaching staff attending, we look forward to hosting you on the campus of UNLV.
