LAS VEGAS - On Saturday, December 8, the UNLV Women's Soccer coaching staff and players (Brie Kuhne, Haley Partridge, and Dani Morin) stopped by the Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo 9th Annual Toy Drive.
Instead of doing a team gift exchange as the team had in the past, junior forward Haley Partridge suggested using the money that would have been spent on those gifts to help out a local cause. Over the course of the week, every member of the team bought a new toy to contribute to the toy drive and on Saturday the gifts were delivered during Chet Buchanan's radio program.
Chet chatted on the air with Coach Mertz and the team, congratulating the Rebels on their 2007 Mountain West Conference championship and thanking them for participating in the twelve day event to help less fortunate children in Southen Nevada enjoy the holidays.
