LAS VEGAS - After winning its first team title of the season at the PING Arizona Intercollegiate last week, the UNLV men's golf team moved up eight spots to No. 7 in the nation in the Golfweek ratings released Sunday.
The Rebels also have three players ranked in the top 50 of the individual ratings. Junior Jarred Texter is rated 16th in the country, senior Ryan Keeney is 44th and junior C.J. Gatto is 49th.
Florida is the nation's top team according to the ratings, followed by Stanford. Oklahoma State is third, while Georgia and Alabama round out the top five. Coastal Carolina is sixth, followed by UNLV, USC, Lamar and Tennessee.
USC's Jamie Lovemark is the nation's top rated individual golfer.
UNLV will be back in action Feb. 21-23, at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Wahiawa, Hawaii.
