LAS VEGAS - UNLV's Jaci Hull was named the Mountain West Conferece's Player of the Week for her efforts this past weekend in the Pacific Mini Tournament held in Stockton, Calif. This is the second time this season that Hull has been honored with the award.
Hull, from Scottsdale, Ariz., led the Rebels this past weekend in hitting percentage (.528), runs (4), hits (7), doubles (4), home runs (2), total bases (17), slugging percentage (1.308), walks (2) and on-base percentage (.600). Against Sacramento State, she was responsible for all three runs that UNLV scored in the 3-0 victory. At the plate, she was 4-for-4 with three doubles, one RBI and two runs scored. In the second game vs. Sacramento State, she went 2-for-3 at the plate with two solo home runs, two RBI and two runs scored. Hull stepped up to the plate with two out in the fifth and cut the Hornets lead in half at 2-1. With the score knotted at 2-2, Hull came up for the second time with two outs and promptly placed the offering over the fence for a 3-2 UNLV lead.
This is the third such MWC Player of the Week honor for the Rebels this season. Kendall Fearn took the accolade on February 13, while Hull earned her first on March 13.
