San Diego State Recaps: The UNLV softball team split its Mountain West Conference two-game series this past weekend with the San Diego State Aztecs. The Rebels lost the first contest by a 5-0 margin on Saturday night, but came back strong with a 3-1 victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Rebel defense helped SDSU extend its lead to the final 5-0 margin with help from three errors in the seventh inning. Game two somehow followed the same script as Saturday's. Kendall Fearn stepped up and scored the first run of the game on a solo shot to right field in the bottom of the fourth. Brittany Meade tacked on the second run of the inning with a single up the middle to score Stacey Burgos from second. After the Aztecs cut the lead to only one run, UNLV pushed the lead back to two runs when Bri Bernardi's double to center allowed Alyssia De La Torre to score from second.
