LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team won two of six singles matches to close the Rebel Fall Invitational Saturday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

The event was made up of individual singles and doubles matches between players from UNLV and the University of South Carolina.

Posting victories for the hosts were Wesley Burrows, who rallied to downe Pedro Campos 6-7, 6-2, 6-4, and Andrew Giuffrida, who defeated Chris Sheehan 6-1, 6-2.

"These matches helped us focus on areas needing improvement and we also got to work on some doubles combinations," said UNLV head coach Owen Hambrook. "This also got us warmed up for the regionals next week."

The Rebels will begin action at the ITA regional tournament on Wednesday. The annual event will be held once again in Las Vegas at the Darling Tennis Center.
